association of southeastern biologists (ASB)I have contributed to my professional community in many ways (grant and manuscript reviews, editorial service), but my leadership roles in the Association of Southeastern Biologists (ASB) have been the most rewarding.
Our organization hosts nearly 1000 attendees at our annual spring conference, providing a welcoming platform for first-time presenters. Nearly 60% of our attendees are students, and nearly 50% of our attendees each year are first-time attendees. As a result, we work hard to develop networking opportunities with faculty and non-academic scientists and land managers from across the southeastern US. If you and your students have not attended an ASB meeting, there is no time like the present! |
